Lexington, Michigan (3-17-08)--In what is widely regarded as the Official 2008 Season Opening Weekend in the Great Lakes Region of the United States, the cars and stars of the ASALMS Northern Division as well as the much anticipated return of the USPRO Cup Series will share the spotlight in the Buckeye State with the Glass Breaker 200 Weekend, set for Friday and Saturday, April 11-12, 2008 at the famed Toledo Speedway, located just across the Michigan / Ohio state line in Toledo, Ohio.

TOLEDO OH (3-10-08)-All racing fans, track officials, racers and former racers are invited to the Toledo Speedway Bar & Grill thisweekend forseveral racing-related festivities. A Racer's Reunion is slated to begin at 12 noon on Saturday, March 15th at the Toledo Speedway Bar & Grill Banquet Room. Beginning at 2 p.m., the bar will air ABC's broadcast of the Sharpie Mini 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race. At 6 p.m. the Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club will hold their monthly meeting.

It's now official and in the construction phase-I-75 in both directions is CLOSED in Detroit between Clark Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard for the planned Ambassador Bridge interchange project. It is slated to be closed through Christmas of 2009.

TOLEDO OH (2-27-08) - Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways have now added the Southland Center in Taylor, MI for another race car mall show, bringing the total to 4 shopping center venues that will play host to race car displays as the tracks prepare to kick off their 2008 season schedules.

MERCED CA (2-25-08)--Officials from the Automobile Racing Club of America have announced that Mac's Convenience Stores/Circle K Stores will serve as series title sponsor for ARCA West's U.S. and Canadian tours in 2008.

Milton V. "Milt" Roop, 71, of Holland Ohio, died Tuesday Jan. 1 at his home.

TOLEDO OH (1-14-08)--Toledo Speedway's .5-mile paved oval is slated for a lighting upgrade to the Qualite Sports-Lighting Systems, Inc. set-up at the track, which has been in place since the start of the 2006 season. Track management entered into an agreement with Qualite as a test program for the super-speedway style lighting system in turns 1 and 2, the backstretch and turns 3 and 4 just 2 years ago. Qualite officials are now prepared to install an upgrade to the system as they look to improve this part of their product line.

TOLEDO OH (1-16-08)--The much-anticipated opening of the newly-constructed Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott is now reality. Located just a short walk across the Toledo Speedway parking lot, the hotel opened its doors just prior to the holiday season and is now taking reservations. Rooms are expected to go quickly for several dates that coincide with the 2008 Toledo schedule of events.
